I found Cheetos Cheese Puffs and Nacho Cheese Doritos at the store!!! I've consumed them all (they were small bags!).
My son H has learned how to make fart noises by blowing on my belly. They are the most hilarious fart sounds of all time and delivered by a genius two year old. Seriously, it's off the charts.
I've caught up on all the Project Runways and all the So You Think You Can Dance. I feel adequately inspired. I thought Carol Hannah should have won PR and I love Jakob on SYTYCD.
So far I've read 3.5 of the Harry Potter books in the last month...again. It's so great to find such a lovely story.
There's a guy who works as a jack-of-all-trades Mondays and Fridays at our tiny campus. His recent activity has been blowing with a leaf blower the entire garden. Which means we hear what sounds like a high speed motorcycle outside our windows for hours. I want to hurt this man. I want to give him a rake and a shovel and say, 'Put your back into it dude!' Spare the poor pregnant lady and let her nap or just relax without an airplane taking off for the entire afternoon.
(I had to throw in a complaint-they are little things too.)
Thank you Diego. Thank you Dora. Thank you Disney. You know what I'm talking about.
My mom sent me some American holiday magazines and I've read them all cover-to-cover already. And I'll read them again. And I think I'm going to open up a magazine lending library with all the requests to borrow said magazines. Isn't that nice of me?
How does one find the translation for things like 'Cream of Tartar' in another language? It's not a natural vocab word is it? I don't even know what it is in English to describe it let alone in French.
I think this is the first year I really don't want anything for Christmas. Since I don't have any room and I know we're moving in just a handful of months I have no desire to add to the pile of things to pack. Maybe we can have Christmas in July next year. That would work better for me. K, thanks.
WE'RE GOING TO GERMANY FOR THE CHRISTMAS MARKET!!!! AND WE'LL SEE FRIENDS FROM SCHOOL THERE!!!! I AM PRETTY EXCITED!!!!
And...it's the weekend. Merci, Seigneur!
I'm not sure you can get cream of tartar, but vinegar makes a good substitute.
ReplyDeletei have no idea about cream of tartar this side of the pond. I have a little plastic jar from McCormick that I have never told anybody about, ha
ReplyDeletemaybe S. can hook you up at the meet up?
maybe bring aforementioned holiday magazines when you come to our German meet up?!? Looking forward to it!
ps - doesn't the line on the website "where the Christ child feels at home" or whatever, doesn't that just strike you as ODD? Do you think He likes booths of commercialism? I'm going to have to go with 'no'. And it's pictured next to a woman w/long curly hair. It's the same site they had last year and it struck me as odd then, too.
ReplyDeletewe'll still have fun! =P
I just found a store in Paris that sounds like heaven. Pop Tarts, maple syrup, Betty Crocker mixes, and I'm guessing cream of tartar somewhere too. I'm seriously considering skipping class tomorrow to go shopping. I mean, it's Thanksgiving this week so we 'need' some stuff! The site is www.thanskgivingparis.com Isn't that awesome??? I think the fact that I don't care one iota what anything costs is a sure sign I am in the throws of deep culture shock. I just want my food!
ReplyDeleteyeah, its jakob, ellenore and russell (dark horse) for me.
