A New Beginning

It's been three months since I last blogged and so much has happened that I can't begin to write about it all. The last post was kind of a cliffhanger so let me update on that first.

The Lord is glorious. He lead us to pursue (or my husband to pursue) an MBA program here in France. This is not our background so it was a major leap of faith to think he'd even be accepted. Well, he was, and with such a successful score on the GMAT test that he received a 50% scholarship to his school! We were blown away how generous God has been in this dramatic shift of direction. We just found a furnished apartment as well that is near his school, near the Mediterranean sea, a great price, and beautiful top to bottom and inside out! I keep seeing the secret gifts of God in each thing he does. He knows every hair on our head and he knows the desires of our hearts that we don't voice and he gives such good gifts because he loves us!

So for the next year we will be living in Nice, France as J does an MBA program. I will be a stay-at-home mom with my two kids! Yes, I gave birth June 19th to a precious little girl. She's so great and has changed my life. My son, H, will begin preschool (!!!) half days four days a week. My primary goal will be to become fluent in French. My French pretty much died when I gave birth. I haven't been in classes since April and have had little to no contact with the outside French world since having my sweet baby. I am looking forward to creating new opportunities to learn and grow in French. It's my challenge and one I desire to conquer not just for me, but for my children, and for the Kingdom's advance.

I hope to blog along the way! I may just share things I find helpful or that I like online and then add a journal-type entry in between. I know what we are doing is so foreign to many folks and that curiosity is high. I hope to help feed that curiosity with fun stories, honesty, cool finds, and the like.
