It's an Advent Calendar!!! The season of Advent has become such a special time for our little family. It would be so great to create this for our family to use for years and years to come.The fabric is so fun too. It's Michael Miller design who designed the kitchen fabric in my last post.
This project is a huge challenge for me. It's large, detailed, and quilting. But I really see value in the work rather than just fun. And I think that's the meaning of handmade. Finding value beyond the item. I could buy an advent calendar every year for the amount of money and labor this may end up being, but the value of it would be lost.
What I would really love is if any of my readers wanted to make one with me. We could keep up with it together. If not, I'll go ahead of course, and keep you posted on how it goes.
