Distance Makes the Heart Ache

Justin leaves tomorrow morning for a week in Saint Petersburg, Russia for his MBA program. It's one of two trips in the 10 month program that takes him away for a week to another country.

I just want to say that I already miss him. We are fortunate enough that we rarely have to spend time apart. A week apart will be a lifetime. Please pray for us. I can only imagine how much his heart will ache being away from our 3 year old and 5 month old. That would kill me. I know he'll miss me, but there's a different kind of heart ache when one is away from their kids, don't you think?

So, this is to you, Sweet Justin of my Dreams. I love you, I miss you, and yet I am so excited for you to have this opportunity. I pray God gives you the grace to be a light for him as well as to be excellent in your studies. We are honored to support you as you go. I promise to not kill the kids and to try and have some fun even though you are gone.
