Journey to France: Mission Accomplished
Well, we can't believe it, but we made it and all our 12 pieces of luggage made it. We had no trouble in airports. We had great seats the whole way. H slept from Detroit to Paris. The. Whole. Way. Anyone with a 21 month old or thereabouts knows this is a bonafide miracle. Our hired transport was waiting for us at the airport. Oh, and did I mentioned we paid about $300 less in baggage fees than we anticipated? That never happens!!! I think Justin and I even slept on the plane too! Dear Father in heaven, you are so generous to answer mommy prayers for their babies to sleep on planes and for tucking in the blessing of less cost on luggage and prompt service. Thank you, Amen!
A Warm Welcome!
We have two families with our company that have been here, one for nine months and the other for one month before us. We were so happy to see them when we arrived at our new home. One wife had left us start up groceries in our room! Another single woman we know also arrived on Thursday and we were able to have dinner with her and do some shopping together. We have eaten with other families three times in the six nights we've been here and two others we spent with friends from out of town! To say we've had a warm welcome is an understatement. It's a huge gift to me. It helps bridge the sadness felt from leaving home and the uncertainty of our new home with love and friendly faces. Thank you dear Lord!
Crossing Paths
We had the greatest gift of spending a couple of days with our friends who serve in Central Asia! They were on vacation and passed through Paris right when we were arriving. It was so sweet to see them especially since our homes are on different continents. Thank you, parents of Sampson, for your friendship and fellowship. We love you dearly.
oh wow - SO many HUGE extra blessings! Yay God!! I'm so so so SO happy you guys have had such a friendly welcome - that makes ALL the difference. I wish we'd had something like that, our first few months here were really difficult. So glad that's not the case for you all!
